The food and service was excellent.
We really enjoyed our share plates of prawns, pork & beef meatballs.
Then mains of roast chicken followed by fillet steak.
The staff were polite and attentive.
The restaurant is split into several different sections. All looked wonderful .
Would definitely recommend.

The front is unassuming but you walk in and the attention to detail is unmissable. Coming out to the back, seeing the open kitchen with dining is simply stunning. Add to that, our beautiful French waitress was so attentive to our needs. And food that was at the highest level; comforting, flavourful and filling. For an experience that we booked last minute, on a birthday jaunt to the Clare valley- we could not be happier.

We had an exceptional experience at the Watervale Hotel! Opting for the 'Feed Me' option was the best decision - dish after dish came out beautifully presented and full of flavor. We were thoroughly impressed with each course and couldn't find a single thing to fault. The service was warm and attentive, making our evening all the more enjoyable. A special highlight was meeting Frankie, the calm and friendly Staffy, who brought smiles to everyone around. Highly recommend for both the food and the atmosphere!

Worth every cent and more! The food here is second to none, hands down the best dining experience of my life. My wife and I were lucky enough to experience the degustation dinner and there just are not words capable of describing it. The hotel itself is beautiful with luxurious interior design complete with 5 star bathrooms and a warm open fire. This is a must visit and we will be back!

Beautiful place and location. The hotel is well renovated and the restaurant/pub extends outdoor. The food is well made, smart with some great alternative to the classic aussie food. Great wine list as well. I was very impressed. I came for a Champagne wine tasting during a weekend in Clare. The owners are welcoming and very friendly. Marco

Wow! Worth the 1700 km drive to enjoy one of the best restaurants in Australia. It's all about soil quality and it is 100% apparent in the ingredients. Thoughtfully designed menu using primarily local ingredients and masterfully executed. You'll travel far and wide before you get a meal as good as this. Reasonably priced generous set for $89pp... matched with fabulous local Clare wines. Don't miss it!!!
