I took part in the Masterclass which, for me, was 7+ hours of one on one time with either Nicola, Warwick, or both, not to mention Frankie who kept us company for a good part of the day.
Initially I was dubious about the fee and almost didn't book the experience, but by the end of the day I was convinced it was totally worth it.
The day involved a tour of the hotel with its history and some local history for good measure, then a tour of their sustainable, bio diverse farm, before the work in the kitchen began.
Both Nicola and Warwick were totally generous with their knowledge and unstintingly answered any question I asked. Nicola's ideas in the kitchen were fresh and, for me anyway, innovative. I came away laden with information, too much of which I'll forget. (I really needed to record it so that I could take the ideas home to cogitate on rather than have them flit through my brain and never come back. Doing it with a friend may have helped in that respect.???)
The menu Nicola came up with allowed me to learn hands on, several techniques I'd never used before with tips for their success and warnings to prevent their failure.
The flavours were amazing and the culmination was sitting down to a beautifully wine matched meal in the company of my new friends.
A day well spent!
Nicola also does themed days on request and I'm so very tempted to book in for one of those!!!!!
