As another reviewer has commented, it's typical pub food. Takeaway this time, they were busy with a delay as a result. Portion sizes are generous for the money.

The buffalo wings were battered (unusual presentation) and tasted more of barbecue sauce than buffalo sauce. The hangover parmi was decently sized, a bit overcooked. And what's with honey mustard dressing on almost every salad in the Toowoomba region these days?

Totally enjoyed this meal all the flavours expected with no fault. Steak was a lunch special, surprised that it was good cut and cooked as requested... super nice salad dressing complimented perfectly.
I will be back .. highly recommended stay there chef.

Ordered 300g Rip Fillet for $43.69, without salat, and got it full of Vegetable salad and I got 300g Rump for $36.63.
When I ask the they said the meat got shrink during the cooking.
Asked them to send me the manager and wait for more than 15 minutes no one come.

Charge me $7.06 extra.

Be careful when you order.

I think when a cook names a dish after themselves. You had better make sure that dish is exceptional. The famous Helens Rissoles should be renamed. To something like the Infamous Helens Criminal Rissoles. The vegetables were under cooked not even blanched properly, the gavey was loaded up with BBQ sauce to the point I had a bout of heart burn. I'm glad I carry Mylanta tablets with me. The mash potato was acceptable (just) and the best part of this meal. Rissoles very basic and bland also small.

Kids meal - no juice available only softdrink. The nuggets were frozen on the inside still. Not cooked properly at all.
The famous steak sandwich was legit charcoal!!! Not eatable. The 300g rump steak, we asked for medium rare. It was dry, over cooked was completely under sized. We got up to leave and a staff member came over and asked how out food was. We replied with how unhappy we were and that it was horrible and explained. The staff member said "oh". And walked away with our plates.
Horrible service. Horrible cooks.
It's ashame as it could be a great family restaurant/pub if they get staff that want to work in customer service and chefs that can actually cook.
