Deteriorated quite a bit since my last visit, which was some time ago. Staff didn't seem friendly, which was an appreciated given on previous visits, and food was just ok. I ordered the seniors surf and turf with vegies, It arrived and all was on the cool side. Steak was not tender and nor were the prawns . Hope this is a one off as I like this venue for dining.

Great venue, very spacious. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Pretty quick service and a good range of options on the menu.
Good value, the Parma was massive.

The staff are great especially the blonde girl who seated, served drinks and took the food order very bubbly and customer oriented. The food was awesome, i dont really like pork but i love mash and the pork sausages with bacon on top were thick, cooked well and super tasty. Mash was great gravy ratio was also great and even though not stated on the menu (compliment not critique), also was served with broccolini and zucchini along with caramelised onion. The portion was excellent. Chicken schnitzel was golden perfection as well. Prices are a bit high (avergae for most hotel/bistros just used to prices at the place i work and theyre hugeley underpriced) but well worth it deffinitley. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing and we were first customers but by the time we finsihed place had a fair few in at 11.30am on a sunday, meals were speedy and quality 10/10 id say.

From the moment we walked into this hotel we were made to feel welcome. The friendly and helpful staff are excellent!!
We also both enjoyed our meals which were delicious, well cooked and quickly served. I eat out a lot on the Peninsula and on tonight's experience rate this pub number one. Thanks for an enjoyable evening...keep up the good work.

Food was fresh, flavourful with good portions and beautifully presented. Servuce was efficient and fast from ordering to when the food came out to the table. My team were down from Sydney for work and was a great place to eat.

Great service. Friendly, attentive staff. We all enjoyed our meals the Barra and Thai salads. And food came quickly.
First time eating here, and will definitely become our spot for family meals.

Great experience here is becoming a regular weekly dinner night. Food is great presentation is awesome. Staff are friendly and willing to help out whenever needed. First visit for 3 years due to covid . Very impressive. Food was far too much ! Unfortunately, no small or senior serves as it was Australia day .

Had the bruschetta excellent presentation & was made perfect. Latte coffee & passionfruit cheese cake with ice cream on side. Great food, service & staff. Thank you Westernport Hotel Hastings. 5 stars.

We have been going here for years now and considered it good value and quality food, until we dined there last night.

10% public surcharge not listed anywhere on the menu, on top of what looks to be a 20% increase in price. I understand expenses have gone up but I was charged $24 for what looked and tasted like a microwaved pizza from the frozen section of Coles. It was disgusting, my wife's meal of calamari was not much better.

7 of us just enjoyed the delicious cuisine for Xmas lunch. Didn't have time for photos because the food tasted as good as it looked. The staff were so welcoming and efficient. The service at the bar with a smile was great!
First time here won't be the last.
We all enjoyed, seafood plate, slowed cooked lamb, smoked chicken, roast Turkey, Eye fillet...lemon meringue pie...flour less chocolate cake. Absolutely great menu. Congratulations who've won a few hearts.

Paid $50 for seafood plate and got raw fish which was meant to be grilled but was soggy and cold. The calamari was the same . I told the waiter to say something to the kitchen but received no feedback. Not impressed local diner

This is a great value pub with lovely food. The staff are all really well trained. I have food allergies and I felt they took this seriously and made sure my meal was safe.

Went here for a friend's birthday. The meals are great value for money and not on the small side! Staff here were very helpful and friendly. The Seafood Platter for 1 is a lie, it will own you. You've been warned ?

So we were heading out to our favourite local pub tonight for a last dinner before my friend boards a plane for the UK for the next several months, unfortunately they are closed on a Tuesday.

So we head here, order the bruscetta and 2 specials of the day which was flathead and chips.

The bruscetta comes out, a little slow for a quiet night and restaurant. It's served in ok bread, maybe a little dry and with really quite strong onion (we like onion, but it's a bit much), on the upside the vinegarette dressing was nice and light.

Now the flat had mains - they were something else, the worst I've had anywhere. These were so oily I chose not to eat my dinner and whilst my friend insisted she would eat the $33 dish she also gave up. As your knife touched them oil poured out which was made worse by the fact they were luke warm, mushy (cheap frozen fish I would guess), and not salted at all, lucky they have these awful 2 in 1 salt and pepper shakers that cover your food in pepper when all you want is salt.

The chips were white, soggy and unsalted, why does your chef not understand how to submerge food in hot oil? It's the easiest form of cooking, although nothing would help the cheap mushy fish.

We were trying to raise someones attention to let them know how terrible it was but were ignored by everyone.

Decor is fine, light, bright like an average pokies venue. Bar service, staff that ignore you and filthy men's toilet on the bistro side with stains on both seats - you know what I'm getting at right?

So the moral of the story is we spent $90 for 3 tiny pieces of bread covered in onion and went home where we are munching on servo food.

Seriously unimpressed your food and service is this poor whilst your prices are the same as the best eateries around you.

Excellent service and food. Sarah and the restaurant staff are absolutely fantastic!! I have several food allergies and am vegan. They managed to quickly sort out a beautiful and tasty meal for me. I will definitely be back!!

I was nah it'll be small not worth it .... We'll let me tell you ... Don't go past !!! Stop ???' and order one .. it was fantastic ... like it was really good ..

Just a add on , we went back today which was Sunday ,it was really busy .. both times we have had amazing service , bar staff , counter staff etc Liam bought our food over , very pleasant guy , very attentive and had a great attitude ... really nice pub .. impressive experience both times ... well done to management ??????

We were a table of 3. 2 seniors vege risotto. And one chicken risotto. And then my friend on the table says is your rice crunchy and both of us said yes and very salty. So the 3 of us didn't finish the meal or criticize the meal. But in hindsight perhaps we should have.

Top night had in bistro. Food was top notch. Bar and wait service was excellent.

First meal there with hubby. Seated promptly, excellent service from friendly floor staff. Lots of choices on menu, we opted for roast of the day ( lamb) meal was HUGE, probably should have had Seniors option. Food was hot, lots of tender meat but they forgot the roast potatoes, but once mentioned to staff was quickly rectified with a sincere apology.
Considering the venue is operating with minimal staff numbers, overall they did a great job.
Will definitely go back soon.

I was attending a concert by Pierce brothers, the place is good, easy to reach, has enough parking around the area, nice crowd, it a prime spot for all Philip island visitors

Awesome atmosphere! Staff are very friendly and ask how your meals were.Great to take the kids, and also great without..... suits all!Food was awesome, we went two nights in a row.We had the Gummy Shark Flake, Porterhouse Steak, Calamari, and Garlic Prawns and they were all delicious.

Saturday 27th of February we came for dinner we had no booking as my partner and I were down for a weekend away. The supervisor or manager I assume was lovely!!! (A younger guy with glasses) Sat us down right away! Explained how the hotel works as I've never been here before! Also gave his opinion on the beef salad which is what I ordered. The beef salad was amazing & my partner was happy with his meal too. Highly recommend coming here for dinner!! Really lovely service too!!!

Food was awesome!!! We had chicken & eggplant parma and vegan burger which was cooked perfectly. Customer service was excellent. Also staff made sure that we were happy with the food by checking regularly with us.Keep up the good work guys. We will definitely visit again.
