This place is our go to! Consistently excellent!
There was a mix up with my meal (my fault) and the wonderful George pushed it through so I could share my meal with my fellow diners. This was really very much appreciated. The food was top notch and the service was, as it always consistently is, excellent. Definitely a place well worth visiting! George, Debra and the staff will look after everything for you!

Tonight me and my family came to the Westmeadows Tavern for dinner. Not only were they able to seat all 13 of us very last minute, there meals were absolutely fantastic! One being the Tomahawk steak special. This meal was massive and the steak was cooked perfectly, coming very damn close to being the best steak I have ever had. Service was awesome. Very family friendly.
Thank you to the staff for a nice meal. Will definitely be travelling back.

Firstly when we arrived staffed had seen us waiting to be seated then turned their backs to us and we waited a bit till finally seated.
Food was nice and good sizing however salad came with mainly onion and a few rocket leaves.
Lemon meringue pie was so delicious and lemony, the sticky date pudding was horrendous don't waste your time on that.

Staff service was quite unprofessional placing food down and leaning across the table to hand food very lazy also excepting us to hand our finished dishes over instead of coming next to customers and collecting.
Staff didn't crack a smile the whole time we was there all looked miserable.

Have a decent conversation. We had a seniors steak and salad and chips, others had fish and chips, bangers and mash.

May seems a little small Tavern, but trust me you'll not regret going there for meals or be it for a drinks. Enjoyed the food, the services and the yeah, great nice place to catch up ot meet up.

Deborah was amazing in taking our orders and also catering for a fussy kid. It's not often you find a pub that will cater for changes to a food item. All food was delicious. Amazing steaks. Fresh and delicious food absolutely worth every penny

Great service and quaint venue

Nice spot, good food. but the management has to start thinking of OHS, the reason being tonight was not so buzy but on a buzy night. The serving plates are so heavy that it's not fair for the staff to serve tables with these plates. Other than that, the place is very good

A lovely hotel with history. The original hotel was built more than 150 years ago. Interesting the first owner was John Pascoe Fawkner, one of the founders of Melbourne. Westmeadows Tavern was formerly known as the Old Broadmeadows Hotel. Located in an historical area. A very nice seniors meal at a very good price.

Ordered a scotch fillet steak for $46, asked for mash and veg and was told it's $8 extra??? Come on! Its a pub and they all offer chips and salad or mash and veg as the option. Why charge $8 for something that is standard elsewhere??? I ordered a medium steak and it was rare, For the price and food I cannot recommend this pub.

Had great friendly service from the time we walked through the door, by Nakeita, she was very helpful when trying to order on the app. Absolutely loved our meals especially the steak. Came all the way from Adelaide for a great steak, well worth it. Even ordering coffee with the young guy, ( sorry didn't get his name) was a laugh, enjoyed a joke.
Thanks guys, will definitely be back next time I'm Melbourne.

A beautiful Christmas Day at the tavern. Warm friendly atmosphere with delicious food . Damien and his fabulous team made everyone feel welcome and even called me several times to ensure our dietary needs were meet as my son is anaphylactic..

Visiting from the States and our last night here staying at a local hotel and the menu options were too good to pass up. Thank goodness we didn't!! The food was one of our best meals while visiting. Wagu burger piled high, porterhouse cooked perfectly and juicy with the garlic cream sauce, my husband loved his schnitzel and gravy and the $5.50 schooners of Great Northern were perfect. Kids enjoyed the sliders and nuggets and ice cream to top! Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodated a large group as a walk in which we appreciated. Thanks for the great experience and easy delicious meal! From the Californians :)

The Westmeadows Tavern (or Ol' Broady Pub ?) - excellent customer service, great family atmosphere and above average pub-grub, so lets break it down...

Atmosphere:
It's a quaint little pub with good decor, a semi-old pub feel that has been refurbished well with that sense of history that if you pulled up a bar stool, one of the locals would be happy to tell a "back in the day" story. (you could probably even picture how it would have looked in the 50's, not that the modernisation has let it down at all). It's the local, but it's history is well represented with many Blue Stone landmarks around the close area from pre 1930.

Customer Service (Restaurant):
Ordering is at the bar - No issue, as is common with pubs. It was a Sunday Lunch - overall not that busy.
You are fronted with a maître d's pillar to wait, and within seconds a very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful service attendant greeted us and sat us down to our reserved table.
Menus were offered for review immediately and politely.
Minor negative, The request for drinks were offered, but a bottle of chilled water was not provided to the table as a default while we waited for our other guests. I then requested this from the bar and they were more than happy to provide it to the table; outstanding, ty.
We ordered in pairs and the order was submitted together to the kitchen. Great work!
Entre (Garlic Bread, cheese and plain) was delivered within 10 minutes and mains 15-20 minutes after, excellent!
Table was bussed and cleared respectful and quickly, and we were asked if the food was okay. Big Plus!

Food:
Average cost was about $18-$24 unless you want a steak dish.
Order: Chicken Parma, Seafood Marinara, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Roast of the Day (seniors menu), Caesar Salad. (see pictures)
- C Parma - Delicious, couldn't fault it! The chicken cooked amazingly, was a good thickness and breadcrumbs weren't over used, Napoli sauce was sweet but full of tomato & herbs and the ham was smoked and flavourful complementing the cheese.
- Seafood Marinara - beautifully rich sauce, pasta was cooked al dente - lovely.
- BB Fish & Chips - Sauce on the side really brought out the extra flavour in dish.
- Roast of the Day - Roast Chicken, not really impressed for a seniors meal, was just on average.
- Caesar Salad - It would have been better to have the dressing on the side so I could limit the use; the pre-mix just killed the dish cause it was just too much dressing.

Overall:
The relaxed environment and open bistro area did provide an amazing family feel where everyone could be themselves and enjoy good conversation over some great pub-grub! If you are looking for a good family dinner or a place where mates can catch up for a bite and a few drinks! Look no further!

Came here Tuesday 2nd August for dinner with a friend for his birthday.
Food was excellent and the serving size was larger than I could eat.
The service from Ellie and Tahlia was amazing
They both made sure our night was great.
Even surprised us with a birthday dessert and candle

This was such a welcoming experience I had not seen in years and really made me leave this place thinking the 45mins travel to get here was not only worth it but worth returning too.

A FABULOUS night out with my husband at the West Meadows Tavern. We love the location - you feel like you're getting away from it all in this quiet part of West Meadows. The current menu is AWESOME. We LOVED our meals. We enjoyed friendly service with a great sense of humour - MANY THANKS to Damien (our waiter).

Great place for a meal. The wife and our 2 kids there for dinner. Manager and team were so great, friendly, accurate, service was so good and easy. The manager was very good too,. Meals salmon, chicken parma, chicken wings were beautiful, kids meal were out real fast. Overall 5/5. Great meal. Exactly what you need from your local pub - the way it should be.

We loved that pub. Well looked after, beautiful, cosy and lovely staff. Very kids friendly. Food was beautiful and steaks (even rare) cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

Sally was sensational, easy to book, service was very quick, and the food was delicious. We were a table of 17 people, who all ordered and paid separately, but the food came out all at the same time. AMAZING

The meals are always good at the Westmeadows Tavern. There are specials available throughout the week. I am sorry I didn't take photos to show the meals we had. However, it was my partner's birthday and he was provided with a special dessert. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for consistency of meals and friendly staff.

Fantastic service. Awesome ribs best Ive ever had. Lovely young man that served us on a Saturday night. Bubbly chatty and amended our side dishes to suit. Will definitely go back again and will recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again.

Loved the atmosphere of this pub, so homely and welcoming. Nice and quiet considering the amount of people. Very enjoyable experience. The chicken Parma seemed a little soggy unfortunately but the flavour was bang on, so I can forgive that. Will definitely visit again.

Popped in for lunch today and the bistro was very busy. Food was great but the best part was Damian running around making sure everything was running smoothly and all the customers were happy! Great job Damian you are a machine!

This has become our go to Friday night Steak Location! Incredible service, delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are professional, relaxed and go above & beyond for their customers. We had a wonderful experience with Damien, and an amazing Chef, who were kind enough to make us Dianne Sauce (our absolute favourite) to go with our meals despite it not being on the menu. We had to order seconds it was so good! Definitely be going again. Thank you Wesmeadows Tavern!
