Westower Tavern

Best pub meal that we have ever had. Pizza was so tasty and the base was light, avocado and prawn bruschetta had so much flavour, steak was cooked to perfection and the schnitzel was a lovely light crumb. We strongly recommend Westower tavern for a good feed and we will definitely be back when we come through Ballina again.

Really surprised with the food side of this place. Lunch time meals were yummy & just right for that time of day. Definitely popping in again.??'???'???'?

We have been coming to the Westower for over 20 years - tonight, while looking for a relaxed dinner we chose to go again. We were so disappointed with our meals, which looked promising.

The special Pork Ribs (lime and bourban) were tender but tasteless... and the whole dish was just warm.

The lamb rump main was the same, tender, but only just warm, including the cherry tomatos that were charred on the outside, but refrigerator cold on the inside.

The highlight was the service from the staff and the garlic bread that was warm and cooked well. The leftovers speak for themselves - we would usually clean our plates.

Would i recommend this for a meal out in Ballina, probably not - will we come back? Not in the near future.

Something wasn't cooked right, they handled my situation with the best customer service I could possibly ask for. Specifically Beth & Jay (two awesome sisters) who served us. On top of everything they brought me out a completely new meal (I was halfway through finishing everything else, but they literally just brought out a new one. So thanks to the kitchen as well). And it all tasted excellent too. Thanks guys.

We had an incredible meal at Westower Tavern. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection??"tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The fish of the day was equally impressive, fresh and expertly prepared.

What truly set this place apart was the attention to detail, even with the kids' meals. Often, children's dishes are an afterthought, but here, they were just as well-prepared and delicious as the main courses. Our little ones devoured every bite!

The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for both families and those looking for a refined dining experience. We will definitely be back when visiting Ballina from Gold Coast, Highly recommend!
