We ate there last night 24.9.24 cost $180 for 4 people with drinks the meals very average chips were bloody cold parma over cooked and bloody dry fisherman's basket was cremated and some fish would have been good beef burger was average chips cold had to ask for hot bowl to replace the inedible ones on the plate lamb shank was average as well since this business has changed hands it has gone down hill if it ain't broke don't fix it not happy

Very disappointing experience from this pub that had one of the best reputations in the district.

The lounge was poorly lit, the table was dirty, cutlery dirty, steak was tuff as boots.

We won't be back.

We dined at 6:15 on a Saturday night. There were tables available and we were seated immediately.

This pub had the most amazing feeling - it had been around d for a long time and we felt its significant history.

The fire was welcome in the cool weather and it added significant charm. This was extended by the historic photos in the walls.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

I had a steak that was perfectly cooked, with amazing chips and a salad. My beautiful wife had salmon and she paid it wonderful compliments, particularly that it wasn't hidden in sauce or batter. It arrived in the amount of time that I expected.

The pricing was good and this extended to the drinks.

All of the meals were available as takeaway - I reckon the pizzas would be incredible.

$50 Porterhouse Steak, was not that cut of meat, was thin & inedible, full of gristle.
Chicken curry came out barely warm
65 yr old partner said it was the worst countermeal he has ever had.
Pub was cold, despite us sitting next to the fire
Wont be back, has it changed management ?cause meal a year ago was really good

Well all I got is what the heck was I just served.
Well below standard cooking skills food was extremly dry chicken and oiley ridden sauce. Garlic bread was a 2.50 one from aldi heated up but charged 8.00
Husbands Pizza was dripping with oil on a dry base.
