Great pub with what I would say is the cheapest beer prices I've seen, food is fantastic country style meals at a great price. Child friendly environment. Accommodation. Pool table, dart board.
A must stop over on any trip you're planning!

Quiet country pub with cold beer, a friendly publican, good for a chat. Just off the Heysen Trail and with hot showers and warm beds. Give them a go. ??'?

Great meals, Great service. I had the homemade lasagne with salad that had MORE than just the standed lettuce, tomato and cucumber. All the salad was home grown. ?

We stayed overnight in mid-March 2021 while cycling the Mawson Trail. Stayed in cosy Queen Bed room, imagining who else might have stayed there over the hotel's 150 year history. Had the fabulous Wild Dog Schnitzel for dinner, which thoroughly refilled me after our 45km ride from Spalding! Sad not to have room to try the homemade cheesecake, or the homemade muffins with ice cream. Graham & Charmaine are really friendly & helpful hosts, they found us a good spot to leave our bikes, & we were also able to buy sandwiches to take for our next day's lunch, which was a lifesaver.

New owners renovation still in progress
Our stay there however felt more like we were visiting friends rather than hotel guests.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay on a return visit to the area

Me and 5 other are doing the Mawson Trail on bikes. 1 guy for our group stayed here the night as well. Best to call ahead when you are planning your trip so they can plan too as they opened for us on there normal day off. Thank you both I will certainly be telling my friends to stop here.
