Wine Bank On View - Bar in Bendigo Victoria

Love the setting in a pretty pre 1900 building. With outdoor heaters a log fire inside we were so cozy as we sipped on wines from a fine selection whilst nibbling on some delicious bites. Great, knowledgeable service and such a reasonably price place for the quality of everything!!!!

Very accommodating, staff would be happy if you wanted anything from a glass of wine through to a full sit-down meal. Mixing a cheese and charcuterie board was excellent value.
Only downside was we don't live locally, so it wasn't worth joining the wine club. That said they have an excellent range of local, domestic and international wines.

Great place to stop for lunch after a visit to the Paris exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery. Deliciously warming meals perfect for a sunny winters day. Lamb & vegetable soup came out piping hot with house made bread. The beef bourguignon was melt in the mouth flavourful served with Paris mash potato.

Have always loved going here over the years because of their extensive collection of wines.🍷 It's a unique place, a wine bar set in an old bank building in arty View St. Great selection of shared plates and meals too. We visited for lunch before going to the Art Gallery. We shared some bruschetta and chips, my partner chose lobster rolls. 🦞 The waitress was amazing, food and wines enjoyable and the ambience was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended. ??'?

Updated - Hi Mark, as promised we returned and were well looked after. We enjoyed a delicious array of share dishes that accommodated everyone's wants and dietary requirements. The cocktails were delicious and the wine list by the glass vast and tasty. Staff were attentive and provided superior experience to the first. Ratings adjusted. Thank you.

Response - Thanks Mark for responding, unfortunately the first experience was so poor that I cannot elevate the rating. We certainly don't want any more venues disappearing, so we will give you another shot and will update the review.

Original review - The first time I went here, the service was so bad I swore I would never return. A good friend is a fan so of course I ended back here and the service was dramatically improved (hence 3 stars). I have yet to eat here, so if I give them a third try, I'll update this review.
