Great pub food! Generous servings and tasty! Everyone loved the schnitzels. I had one of the salads and it was delicious!

It has been many years since we have been to the Wisemans Inn for a feed. The food has improved dramatically since. Schnitzel Tuesday with 2 sides and sauce went down a treat with the whole family. The service was great, friendly, and efficient. There is lots of outdoor seating for the warmer nights and a large grassed area for the kids to run around in.

Good place to get some food in the area or stop on a bike ride for a cold beer.

Meals took one and half hours on Anzac Day unfortunately many people walked out. Must have been understaffed which was a shame.

Overall meals were ok, semi worth the wait not amazing but plenty of them and tasty nonetheless.

I'd say it's a must to stop in and have a cold beer regardless and enjoy the view.

Relatively low overall rating due to my very long wait and semi average meals but as I said staff and location were good.

Dropped in for a late lunch. Plenty of tables inside and outside were available . Ordered schnitzels, rump and chicken burgers as well as cheesy garlic bread. Got the meals quite quickly. Everything was delicious, schnitzels were juicy. Rump and burger was great. Staff at both bar and bistro were very friendly. Reasonably priced to.

Fantastic deck with a Big TV looking out over Wisemans Ferry. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food was generous and tasty. They are reliant on a pump for water so if there is a blackout things get interesting. The rooms are convenient but very small and the mattresses are very tired

Honestly, I couldn't say a bad word about this place!
The food, view, and people are remarkable.
If you need some peace and quiet or a chat with some down to earth locals plus a place to recharge the batteries, drop in.

I stopped in for lunch the muso was playing some good tunes.
Had a Parma the chicken was good but the tomato base was a bit plain and full of onion. The cheese was good.
The chips were good too. The salad was a bit small but had a little red wine vinaigrette that made for a nice touch.
A great afternoon though.

Lunch with a beautiful view! It would have been nice to sit on the balcony but the weather was a bit unpredictable and with a sudden downpour we were glad to be inside. Even with it being school holidays there were plenty of tables available. The staff were friendly and the food was tasty and filling. Great prices with the lunch and seniors specials, and the kids got complementary icecream cups, even though they didn't get the kids meals. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!

We ordered the schnitzel and Angus steak with cheesy garlic bread as a starter. The garlic bread was the best I have tasted in a long time. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly and was nice a juicy. The steak was ordered rare and that was what I got. Overall very good food, great service and well worth a visit.

Nice place,salad are good steak is dry Like the old lady with the long gray hair so rude when we ask extra plates . She said for what for ? ?need to be hire new friendly staff

Hubby and I decided to take a Sunday afternoon drive and stopped into the pub for an early dinner. I had the chicken schnitzel with mash and veg which was absolutely delicious! Hubby ordered steak, which was overcooked as he ordered medium rare, but came out almost well done. He said it wasn't totally terrible, but not the way he likes his steak cooked. Staff in the bistro could be a little more proactive by greeting you when you walk to the counter, rather than standing there in silence looking out the door and waiting for you to talk to them. Over all our experience was relatively good.

We had the best value lunch today at the Wiso Pub! $15 huge schnitty with chips and mine with veg. The service was amazing and meal served quickly. The schnitty was soft & juicy not dry and was a double breast. The views over the river were spectacular. We will come back soon.

This afternoon I came in with my son and it was our first time eating here at the pub. I went up to the counter to order food and this horrible, old, mean, woman decided to be rude for no reason at all! I was so put off by her attitude that I decided to only order food my son so we could get out of there quicker. While ordering food I asked if I could get a Coke as well and she said drinks are not served here and that I'll have to go up to the bar and get them. I said okay then she asked me "If I understand". Not sure why she thought I wouldn't understand..
I then went back to the table my son was waiting for me at and said we have to go get a drink from the bar area as I couldn't leave him sitting there alone, at that time she was standing behind a us listening to me speak to him quickly ran up and Infront of us and started pointing at the sign saying no under 18s allowed in the bar (as if I cannot read and don't know the laws here) when I did go into the bar to get the drink she decided to serve me and continue to belittle me the whole time. By the time we got drinks and went back to eat my child was already put off his meal after seeing the way she treated us. Won't be back again
Not sure why she is such a miserable old hag but she did a good job at ruining our weekend away.

Lovely old sandstone building. Stopped in for Tuesday night chicken schnitty and a Mountain Goat. Huge schnitty, crispy chips, fresh salad. Great pub food.

So looking forward to lunch today. I am so disappointed with the meal. We ordered two rump steaks, one medium and the other medium -well done. Received one medium-well done and the other almost cremated. Microwaved mashed potato just warm. Gravies were just warm. Looking into the kitchen the salads are being put on the plates and chips being arranged with bare hands. So, I guess this supposed Icon of Wisemans is turning into a failure. PM me if you wish and I will nominate the culprits. Otherwise CYA

Beautiful well priced meals. And not over sized. We enjoy it every time. Great spot for a Sunday afternoon in the sun

We had a group of over 100, staying nearby - Wisemans Inn Hotel hosted us for our meals - 2 breakfasts, a dinner and 2 lunches. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly, the food was great, location beautiful and added bonus of a history museum above the inn with a ghostly tale. Brilliant place.

I come here every few months, usually whilst out riding my motorbike. It is a popular place, with lots of shade out front under the beautiful old trees and a huge deck out back with umbrellas. The food is tasty, the beer cold and the staff very friendly.

Tonight, I ordered my food at the counter and paid for the food. The waitress advised me that it may take an hour for our order to be ready for pickup. But after an hour when I came to the counter to see when our food is ready, I saw that the kitchen is closed and staff are cleaning the kitchen with no food for us. I asked the waitress about why we didn't receive our food and she stated that our order is missed. She started to explain the situation with no apologizing. My wife said the waitress that she should at least say sorry about this situation. This made me humiliated as everybody is eating the dinner and we had to wait for ours. We, finally, received our food when the restaurant is almost closed and nobody else was there. I'm so disappointed and won't go to this restaurant anymore.

Look it's an hour outta the city so a semi sorta country pub with country folk no airs no graces very average, not fantastic but still rate 5stars due to friendly staff and cleanliness of venue.
So 2 places in the area for a beer the bowlo or here, has accomodation onsite a few pokies, great open space for eating and for large groups or families and outdoor areas ideal for functions and a fab place for the small children to play in an enclosed area.
Family friendly.

This review is solely for the bistro dining & pub not for the hotel as we did not stay there. I highly recommend you have a feed here. Enjoyed everything that we ate. Ordered the Buffalo Wings, Schnitzel Bosiciola and Classic Burger w/ an extra patty it was such a tasty juicy burger! The location is great and the view is just lovely and calming. The whole vibe here was fantastic with a gentleman playing live music with a harmonica & guitar, it really felt chill & comfortable. A small pokie collection with a country town pub feel. (Excuse my half eaten chicken wing in the photo haha)

Fun and a good venue. Very large old building with good character. We stopped for a quick stop and did not get a chance to try food. A great view from the front garden and nice shade under the big fig trees.

Tacky feeling tables but wiping didn't help. Its just what happens to the varnish over time.
The food tasted great and was nice and hot. It didn't take too long to come out.
The bar was good with a good selection and the service was good, maybe a little slow. The staff were nice though.
The history information on the wall was interesting and the props were fun to play with.
The trees out the front must be old and were beautiful for a photo.
The games room is good but payment necessary for games.
The raffle was good and we liked being able to be involved and pick a name out.
We attended as a large group of 14 and we're able to get a booking quickly and easily.
We recommend.
The locals alternate nights between the Bowlo and the pub, so if you want a quiet one, go to the pub on a Thursday, or the Bowlo on a Wednesday. If you enjoy the atmosphere of a buzzing crowd, go to the Bowlo on the Thursday and the pub on the Wednesday.

Wisemans pub has always been good, going back to my water skiing days in the 80s. Great old school bar , and large outside deck/eating area . Called in recently on my weekend ride and couldn't have been treated more cordially. Defininate call in place

Our experience was amazing. We loved that we was able to have our dog there. The service and hospitality was fantastic. We will be going back there again. Even if it's for a delicious dinner or lunch

We thought the room was expensive when we booked however when we opened the door it has been a long time since we both said ??'?wow we walked into one of the most time inspired rooms fitting of the era of history and slept so well. The staff down stairs looked after our stay so well and met all our request with enthusiasm. The meals were of generous servings. Overall a great stay met a very nice group of people would highly recommend this hotel to anyone ?

Excellent food. Calamari was cooked to perfection, schnitzel was perfect. Salad and the dressing was one of the best anywhere. On a weekend (or a long weekend), get in early before they run out of food. Will surely return if i am in the area!

Nestled in the valley is the historic Wisemans Inn Hotel. Obviously a popular stop for motorcyclists and many others. I visited here with some mates for lunch. Option of both indoor and outdoor dining with the outdoor views of the surrounds giving a beautiful comfort to the dining experience. Some good options of pub grub at a reasonable price. Staff are helpful and were quick to clear the tables of used items. Kids area with arcade type activity available and some interesting history within....if the walls could talk.

I ordered the 350g sirloin cooked medium rare and I can honestly say that this was the best cooked steak I've ever eaten at a pub. I also ordered the buffalo wings and they combined with the blue cheese sauce were exceptional. Good work guys it was a pleasure dining there with my family, I would've shared photos but I demolished the food before I got a chance ??????
