Wollombi Tavern in Wollombi NSW

The Wollombi Tavern is a tavern located in Wollombi, New South Wales. They have a bar and great food and drink options. They also have a great dine-in restaurant - you may be able to download their menu on their website.
Great looking pub. It's hard to believe it went under water last year. Camping closed due to recent flooding. I could just imagine the atmosphere when the camp ground and pub was full. Heaps of room in the beer garden.

Had a great lunch today at this wonderfully rustic Tavern. Good fresh hearty Pub fare. Stand out house wine. Cosy and comfy beside the open fire. The Staff were outstanding and really went out of their way to make our lunch enjoyable, specially Eva Marie. We"ll visit this Pub again when in the area.

Great little local pub, the only one in Wollombi with a good selection of beers and wine. There is also some pub classic meals which is great! Lots of outdoor seating and great views of the valley. Good to hang out with friends for a drink or even good to visit for a day trip from Sydney

Great pub and the home of the famous Dr Jurds Jungle juice.
Great selection of beers on tap and fantastic food.
My only negative is the new owners have stopped the camping out the back.
Bring this back and we'd give it 5 stars

I'm loving this place! Just a stop in on the way back to Newy after a stay in a friends farm, and let me tell you this has been the perfect way to cap off the weekend!

Just stopping in as it looked like an nice place for a bevy but once I stepped out of the car I was thrown back to 10 years old when I begged to have my birthday party here. A memory that was completely forgotten until now. Was a special moment on this sunny Monday!

Amazing service and honestly I couldn't be happier!

This is not a tavern but a quaint Cafe and a tiny country store. Good coffee and is known for its Gelato.
Dear owner of the Wollombi Tavern:
It is Google who misidentified my photos. Obviously, as I wrote in my review, that the photos are NOT of the tavern. Maybe, you need to let Google know about THEIR misidentification. I looked to see if I could correct the location, but no luck.

Alway stop here on the way through to Mount View. The new makeover looks great. Cosy around the bar with the fire well stocked

Called in for lunch and a few beverages, it was a cold rainy day and they had the fire on but there is always a draft keeping the place cool. Food was much better than previously, a few more beers on tap. Typically the outlook around here is amazing. Well done for doing it up over that difficult period.

Had a easy drive along Tourist Route 33 and we ended up at Wollombi Tavern for arvo tea. We ordered the wood fired pizza and it was really good. Great to see how this placed has bounced back after last year's serious floods.
Since we were here, we definitely had to try the famous jungle juice. It was almost as sweet as port and you can mix it with any type of mixers. The wife preferred it straight.
If you are up thisway, definitely stop over and have a try.

Very nice and open place to have some food! Beautiful scenery, especially if you sit out the back. They have an outdoor section dedicated to wood-fire pizzas, which is conveniently placed near the seating. If you are ordering a meal, (not pizza), there may be some issues with the buzzers they provide, as some outdoor tables may be out of range, meaning you'll be waiting longer for your food.

I used to visit this place as a kid, still hasn't changed! Wonderful food and a great atmosphere. I love overlooking the hills on the deck while having a good feed and a drink. I recently came here with my partner and we both had a schnitzel burger with chips, bearnaise sauce and a beverage. Cannot fault the food, lovely portion sizes and tasted great! The staff are friendly and we love the old tavern aesthetic. Will make a stop here again in the future!

Visited the tavern last weekend. Looks great after being restored to original heritage style after the floods. Lots of outdoor seating in the newly landscaped garden and great pizzas from the new pizza station in the garden. Plenty of parking nearby

Stopped on the way back from a drive out to explore the area outside of Sydney. The roads into and from Wollombi were amazing and it was lovely to stop for a quick brew and a game of hoops in the beer garden - even though it was very warm. The pub seemed like a great community location and was very popular with locals - that was great to see. I'd definitely stop again if I'm ever in the area again.

When you're on your way to/from the Hunter Valley you MUST stop at the Woollimbi Tavern to try the Jungle Juice. Highly recommend it with beer ??'????'????'?? I bought 2 litres of it to take home, I loved it so much. Will definitely be back!

Now it's not underwater I thought I'd check it out . Kept it pretty much the same and extended the deck which is good. Very popular stop for bikers on the weekend. Also has a nice area outside to have a drink etc . Only downer was the prices . $5 80 for a zero alcohol beer. Other pubs sell it for $4. Didn't check the menu prices so can't comment. Worth calling in.

Still the same super friendly service despite the upgraded inside tavern. Extended new deck with plenty of seating and great music on a Sunday Arvo. Log fire to warm you up after a cold moto ride. Woot!

It's a neat little pub away from the hustle and bustle of cities and towns. Our friends decided to take us out there for some jungle juice and it was worth the drive and a mud slide up one of the routes.
Neat little town with neat cottages packed with Aboriginal artworks and bric n brac.
Almost gate crashed a wedding where the bride and guests wore boots ?
Tavern was totally rustic and love the tables and seats set outside the tavern. This must be a must-stop for both bikers and cyclists ??
Love the drive to the tavern, saw deers and wallabies in paddocks. Beautiful sceneries along the way.

One of my favourite places to visit. A cute little town... So peaceful and relaxing. Quite a popular spot on the weekends with lots of bikers popping in. Fantastic meals! I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection ðŸ'Œ If you visit, you have to try the famous Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice! Camping available at the back of the tavern which gets really busy over holiday period. Public holidays there are awesome markets held just a short walk down the street from the tavern. If you're feeling like a bit of a drive after the tavern, I recommend going to Mangrove Creek Dam. Very pretty place!

Beautiful free camp area (no showers and the toilets are disgusting but do the job). The local jungle juice from the tavern was excellent! Tavern has a cute, rustic vibe. Would definitely be back :)

Thick with local history the Wollombi pub is a must stop for travellers, tourists and locals alike. The food is some of the best pub grub i have eaten and the local specialty, Wollombi jungle juice, is a spectacular concoction all of its own.

Looking forward to making many excuses to come back.
