Good old school country pub full of locals and authenticity. Simple bar service, a few pokie machines out the back and great outdoor space undercover or in the open.

Pool table and TV off the side (although pool table is too close to walls and window).

Old pub style meals. Can't believe the size of the meals which came out. Service was good. Staff did well although it was very busy with a couple of large tables

Great pub in the Adelaide Hills. Go there if you want a good old fashioned pub lunch.

Both the quality and size of the meals was amazing. It's so nice to go to a pub that still provides table service, which seems to be disappearing from city pubs. The staff were friendly, service was quick and the food met all expectations. We didn't have desserts but the ones served to the table next to us looked delicious. The menu had plenty of options.

The open fire is a nice touch in the dining room.

If we had to pick anything, the decor needs a bit of updating but overall not too bad.

Went 2 Hotel last Easter waited an hour for meal it was average being Diabetic wasn't all that good. So we tried again this Easter again still waited over the hour was not impressed then 15% surcharge. Don't bother going . Not busy either .Thanx but no thanx .

Went for dinner on a Saturday of the long weekend, it was busy but we still got a table! The staff were fantastic, service and food came out quick!
Great options for all, including Gluten Free!! There was also live music, which was a bonus! Fantastic and worth the drive for a nice meal and good vibes!!

In the brief time I was there you had your classic regulars who all went about their socially regional pub afternoon. One in particular that knew every local by name address and preferred tap beer. But the amount of Hills folk who were ordering, picking up their meals was staggering. Thats who you can even review the food at a regional pub without even having a meal there.

Great food and service. They actually do table service instead of lining up like you're in a prison cafeteria ordering food like every other lame pub in Adelaide metro. Highly recommend!!

From booking lunch for our club, to paying, staff were helpful, and friendly .
The meals were lovely, good size and reasonably priced.

Met the publican, who was extremely friendly and a good old style pub. Plus the bonus of having a good supply of my favourite stout.

Booked in at the last min of on Saturday night in the dining room. We were greeted to a delightful warm quiet dining room and got a table near the open fire.

The food was very well priced and our table of 4 all remarked how fast the service was and the food was delicious!

A must visit if your after honest pub food!

Passing through the Adelaide Hills I watched my AFL team's game at the Woodside. Terrific front bar with friendly locals and great service.
My wife is vegan and although they have several vegan/vegetarian choices on the menu, they did her a plate of roasted & steamed veggies which she loved.
I had fish & chips and, like I always ask for but hardly ever get, I requested extra crunchy chips. They listened and gave me probably the best chips I've ever had! And the fish & salad were good too.
The Woodside Hotel, its owner, its staff, its cook and its atmosphere are all terrific! Thanks to you all - we'll definitely be back!

I can confirm the meals are really awesome and the beer is super cold. Will definitely be dropping back in as it's the first time I have been here.

This place is a great country pub in the Adelaide Hills. I stopped here for lunch on my way back from Adelaide, great hospitality and Quick service. I had the roast lamb and veggies and tirimasu for dessert, it just melted in my mouth . Would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be definitely back. It had a very warm homely feeling about the place I give this hotel a big thumbs up.

Haven't been for a long time and was quite surprised as we were warmly greeted and shown to seat and drink orders taken. The decor has changed for the better with a relaxing light paint colour, new furniture and carpet.
Our meal was excellent with meat cooked just as ordered and presented nicely. Our waitress was on hand, polite and friendly. We all enjoyed our meal and will bereturning.

Just saw Dr Pocket in the beer garden. Fantastic band, lovely atmosphere. Five stars!

Popped in on the way home to get a meal. We had a chicken parmy and beef schnitzel with gravy. Really happy with the meals. They were good quality, fresh salads and good size. Beef schnitty was huge! The pub is what you'd expect from a normal country pub, but could do with an interior refresh at some stage.

It's good to know that some things never change. I walked into the bar expecting not to recognise it but it was just the same as 30 years ago. Like a mini time capsule. I loved it! The publicans were friendly, the wood fired heater warmed us up and the beer was cold. They even had a juke box in the corner and I haven't seen one of those in years. They supply meals in the dining room but we didn't eat. I'm really happy to have visited and found it just the way it used to be : )
