Woolpack Hotel, Mudgee NSW

Very friendly staff and a good range of beers on tap and plenty of local craft beer and wwine in the fridge. The dumpligs and asian food was amazing!!

I'd give it 5* if i was allowed to get into the bar. I stay in the room, I can dance on the bed because music is pumping so loud! I'd rather party in the bar (and spend some money), but it is too late to get in apparently... at the same time impossible to sleep in the room. It's 1.35am now and I'm not sure what to do.... I'll try again and if I get inside I'll change this review. Otherwise eh.

Update:
First I tried to get in at 12.30, it was too late to get in. Now I'm told music stops at 2am and I'm still not allowed in. You guys should do an exemption for people who stay in your hotel. This is just unfair, you don't allow them to party and you do not allow them to sleep at the same time. Ridiculous!

We had a wonderful experience with staff at Woolpack hotel three months ago, in July, during our return journey from Moree to Sydney, when we stopped for a night in Mudgee. Upon our arrival on Saturday, we realized we had mistakenly booked for the following day, Sunday.

Although all other rooms were fully booked, the hotel staff went above and beyond by searching for available accommodations in other hotels across Mudgee. Unfortunately, everything was booked out. Remarkably, they offered us an alternative property they manage on Airbnb, which was priced significantly higher than our original booking, yet they did not charge us the difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Airbnb property they arranged.

Additionally, we returned to the hotel for dinner and drinks, where the staff welcomed us warmly and were incredibly friendly throughout our visit also food and drink was great with having live music .

Fantastic food, great service and a good atmosphere. Reasonable prices and a good selection of local wines and a very popular place for the locals. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night at The Woolpack . We stayed in the flat . Big old rambling place that really needs to be renovated with acoustics boards so you can't hear the music downstairs until 230 am .
Kitchen window is boarded up and spa bath had no tap .
I realise we booked a pub but when they send you a message after booking it about the noise and you're unable to cancel ...well probably should have put that in the description.
The good things were the location is central . The bed was comfy .
The pub itself has a great vibe and beautiful Asian fusion food . Staff were lovely too .
