Staff were busy but lovely, meals were great. Accommodating for gluten free meals. I had the Cobb Salad with prawns and my friend had the salmon, both were very decent.

We went there for a meal and a few drinks the drinks where great but the meals terrible. Steaks were well done should have been medium rare and blue. Sent back and something resembling what ordered arrived. I am so sorry that the barmaid was the meat in the sandwich she was courteous and informative on beers and terribly embarrassed with what arrived at our table. She deserves better

Very disappointed we chose to eat here. We ordered Garlic bread from "Straight up" menu. Expecting it to arrive before our mains. Our mains took 35 mins to arrive, the garlic bread came with our mains. People that ordered after us, got their meals before us. There was only 5 tables in there while we were there. My daughters burger bun was stale and all our food except the garlic bread was barely warm. We only ate it as we have been on the road all day and wanted a decent meal. For the price I paid, I was expecting an amazing meal. $65 for 2 meals, garlic bread and 2 bottles of soft drink. We went to the wrong place for a decent meal. I won't be stopping here again. And the lights kept flickering.

The room is dim and the carpet looks old and not so clean. The towels are old and no longer white. There are only two parking spots right next to the building. Most guests have to park tens of meters away. The WiFi signal is strong outside but none at all in the room.

The rooms are spacious but if you want to get any rest forget it, DJ to maximum until midnight with no warning at checkin and table and chairs out the front of the rooms which invite the party to your doorstep. .
No apology from staff.

Very dated rooms doesn't operate the restaurant and plenty of traffic noise.
If you're waiting somewhere to flop for the night it'll serve the purpose

Very ordinary meals. Finished mine but regretted it later (schnitzel), my wife gave up after two small bites (cordon blue). Way too much salt used during cooking. Won't be going there again.

We stopped over at the Woolshed Inn on July 30, travelling back from Adelaide to SW VIC - and we'd throughly recommend it! The room was quite spacious, and included a table & chairs. The bed was really comfy and the shower was hot. In addition, our meals were tasty, and even better, they were delivered to our door!

On Monday 17th April on our way back from the AFL Gather round in Adelaide we went in to reception looking for a room for the night. The young girl that came to the reception counter said she'd get 'The other lady' to serve us. There was lots of walking back and forward ignoring us. Stood there for about 20 minutes waiting. The phone rang, I assume it was 'The Other Lady' that answered they phone and told the caller that 'Yes, we have only one room left. Thanks, see you soon.'

She then came to the counter and asked 'What do you want?' I said I wanted a room and she told me there were none left and I should go to the caravan park or the other pub. When I asked where they were her answer was 'Just Google it Honey' and walked off.

We went to The Bordertown Hotel, had a magnificent meal, great room and friendly staff.

Would recommend The Bordertown Hotel, definitely NOT The Woolshed.

Woodshed inn have great meals and service from very friendly staff, good to have a joke with. We had Beer Battered Butterfish with crispy chips and a decent salad. Also brought home some Apple Crumble with cream and ice cream for dessert later tonight.

Can only comment on food - didn't stay in accommodation.

I very rarely do reviews, but the quality of the food served for our evening meal on Tuesday 2nd May was extremely low.

We both ordered chicken schnitzel which was served with salad. The schnitzel was was severely over done and the worst chicken schnitzel we have ever had, it was dry and crusty hard. The polar opposite to what schnitzel should be. The salad a supermarket tossed salad (looked and tasted like it was from Coles or Woolies) with absolutely no effort to add tomatoes or other ingredients to jazz it up.

It was over $60 and the worst schnitzel we have ever had. Husband is an ex chief, our teenage kids can make better schnitzels at home.

The grading for the meal is one out of five. If I could give the meal a zero I would. It was so bad we felt it was frozen chicken that had been microwaved then coated and deep fried. We are travelling that way on the way home but will steer clear of Woolshed.

Had dinner in the Bistro, eye fillet steak with Bacon and garlic butter, cooked medium rare.
It was cooked to perfection, thank you Chef.
We both enjoyed the meal.

This place is the absolute pits. Couldn't stand being in room for even half an hour dye to the smell of the carpet and room. And the filter in barely working aircon looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. Definitely not covid 19 safe. The floor in bathroom was atrocious. Got photos to prove. I decided to sleep in my car tonight instead. Gigantic cracks in wall. I didn't expect too much just clean, tidy and hygienic but it wasn't. And Definitely not worth the 4 star rating it has in reviews.

Just checked in after being in the room for 20 mins decided to sleep in my car as that would be more Covid safe and I value my health and wellbeing. The room smelt disgusting. The shower was terrible. My shoes were sticking to the floor. Took me.over 5.mins to unlock the door as it was jammed up I have stayed at allot of places before and this received a 4 star rating. It's a joke should be shut down

Fantastic clean, spacious motel in the heart of Bordertown. The rooms are large with a nice tea bag selection. We eat here as well, which was pub style meals.

Can only comment on the dining. Main part of the meal was good, so were the chips but the salad was appalling. Looked and tasted like a supermarket packet that you add the dressing to. Other than that service was fine and it definitely presents welll.

I've only dined here, so can only comment on the restaurant part of the business. The food was excellent with only one exception, the mushroom arancini balls were not appreciated by anyone at the table.

Service was okay, but slower than expected. It took a while to get our mains and the place was far from crowded.

The place is well kept and AC was a relief considering the heat outside.

They have a baby changing table if you ask for it and a small play area.

Only attended bar. Beer was cold. Barmaid was cheerful and friendly, excellent service. Other drinkers were good company with humorous banter.

Won't be back here in a hurry. And won't be going back if we've got plenty of time to spare either.

We arrived after a long day and long drive looking for a nice feed before settling down for a snooze before the next leg of our drive.

It took nearly 1 hour for the first of our 2 meals to come out. When it arrived, there was no mention of how far away the second one would be.

Quite a while, as it turns out. It still hadn't arrived when my wife managed to flag down one of the wait staff to advise her that the Gnocchi Pesto was barely warm - certainly not warm enough to want to eat.

Waiter took it back to warm up, and returned about 5 minutes later to advise both meals would be "out in a bit."

Both meals came out shortly after. The Gnocchi was barely any warmer than before, and the was too gluggy to eat.

Beef Schnitzel was hot enough, but dry. Chips were nothing to write home about. Salad unappealing. Gravy was tasty, although also gluggy.

We ate less than half of the Schitzel between us, and maybe a tenth of the Gnocchi.

I know there can be staff shortages causing delays lately, but it would be nice to have a heads-up if that's the case. And we could have forgiven the delays is the meals were tasty.

Won't be going back to the Woolshed Inn - probably ever.

What great little gem this place was for us. Our room was very comfy and good value for the money. The rooms are a little worn but all the main bits work very well, comfy bed, a loo and good hot shower. The food at the restaurant was also bloody good.

Last minute booking meant we were limited for choice of accommodation for our 1 night stay. While it had everything you need the room was just OK - mattress was super firm and the pillows were (to use my partner's description) like bags of concrete. Being close to the highway & railway line meant it was noisy but we expected that. We didn't expect to be woken up by someone using a blower close to our room around 6am. Nor did we expect or appreciate the stink from a blocked sewer just outside our room - just awful.

I usually don't have an issue with meals at the Woolshed, but tonight has been nothing but a disappointment. After waiting 1 1/2 hours for our meals to come out - 1 at a time.. 10 mins apart for 6 people. Not to mention dessert was brought out in the middle of our meals ????? The schnitzels were overcooked and my elderly grandmother ordered a roast pork special which was also tough and dry. Won't be coming back in a hurry.

This was extremely disappointing. Meals took over an hour to come out, when they arrived some were wrong and the two steak orders were excessively over cooked to a piece of leather. The sticky date puddings were all served cold with a cold sauce and virtually no ice cream. The girls serving did their best, but it was very clear that something was very wrong in the kitchen.

We like to support all local businesses evenly, but this makes it very difficult.

Service was great. Had an entree serve of deep fried Camembert cheese and it was enough for 3 to share. Mains were big serves as well. Bistro was lovely and clean with plenty of room between the tables for wheelchairs and prams. Fills up quickly on a sat night. ud83dudc4dud83dudc4d
