Woy Woy Hotel - Pub in Woy Woy New South Wales

We took my brother out to lunch today and we had the WORST dining experience ever. We ordered the steak Medium Rare, and it was TOUGH and barely warm. Although the receipt said steak salad and chips...there was no salad and were told the salad was cut out by management. The pepper sauce was good but was reduced by half the usual quantity. As we complained about the poor quality of the meal, we were compensated with a free desert of Sticky Date pudding and Ice cream. The sticky date pudding was dry and hard....we needed a chain saw to cut through it. We come here regularly from Sydney and have enjoyed our meal until today...and will not return in a hurry....

Pretty average food but given the super cheap price that's ok.

Service was good - very friendly both in the bar and Pelicans.

Had fish and chips. Both a bit oily and the fish was a bit smushy. At $21 though it's ok.

The pub may have some history but the pelicans dinning area is dated and the menu bland. If you want a hood pub meal ho across the road. Go to the Bayview, but you may not get in as it always seems to be packed.

Saw the band Blackwall Rising, which worked so well at the venue. They played hard rock, well known favourites and some originals. Packed crowd felt at home.

Haven't been in there for many years, had an awesome night, had a go at the meat raffle and won for the first time, played some pool , had a blast , the staff were awesome too. Great night , the atmosphere was great and they had a band playing with karaoke singing .
