Busy historical hotel. Chicken schnitzel parmigiana and chips were nice but we didn't enjoy the salads. Easy to find location with a tram stop right out the front. Great place to watch sports in front bar.

Absolutely amazing food. Tried the parma special and it was great. The environment is such a vibe just outside the flinders street station. Great view from every angle and the hustles of city ring your ears so does that Melbourne vibe with the bell of trams and people crossing through one of the busiest streets. The staff were great too. Recommend.

It's a very nice pub and the beer is delicious! The staff were kind and let me try the beer. Thank you! Thanks to them, I was able to drink a lot of delicious beer. I want to come again.

I have never been to Young and Jacksons for dinner before, it was my brother-in-law's bday and a night out to see the footy, so I thought of giving it a go as it's such an iconic historical pub. As it was a Friday of peak traffic of course the roads were a nightmare coming from the west. We called the pub telling them we were 30 mins late, a lady greeted us on the phone promptly and assured us the table would still be there waiting without any hassles. Once on arrival, we were greeted by a lovely waitress named Brooke she gave us a warm greeting which we needed after peak traffic! We checked the time and we only had 45 mins till the game. We notified Brooke of the time constraints and she highly recommended the selective main dishes that can be prepared faster. I selected the lamb shoulder, my husband selected the barramundi and my brother-in-law had the duck. Brooke notified the chef and our dishes came out in 20 mins. The food was amazing absolutely delicious! From the warm welcome till the end we were amazed by the staff of great customer service, the ambience was stunning especially the views looking out to the beautiful city lights of Flinders St. Thank you, Brooke and staff, for your warm smiles and excellent customer service, we will be back!

I have made Young and Jacksons a traditional stop every time I have been in Melbourne for over 35 years ,and it will continue to be. The service has always been awesome, as is the history of the hotel. Well worth visiting.

Avoid.
Plenty of better bars in Melbourne.
This pub trades on its location, Chloe and nothing else. It's a crying shame how far this place has fallen under current management. You won't buy more than one drink here, and you'll likely regret doing that.
One star is generous.

A great place for authentic pub food. They have guiness on tap, and the staff know how to poor it. Great environment in one of Australia's oldest and most revered hotels.

This house is a good choice for tea evenings.Flinders station, though not called Central Station, is not only a central station, but also an urban transportation hub to and from the suburbs (and the edge of free tram routes).Flinders Station is Australia's oldest railway station, with bronze domes and dark yellow architectural colours. The bell line at the entrance is also a signature feature, and besides the beauty of the day, the lights at night are not the same.
