Wonderful place. Amazing food. Decent room that was clean. Very welcoming of my certified Assistance dog. Made us feel very welcomed

We did not stay there, but went there for lunch. Service was great! Food was excellent at the DelRock Cafe. We had Buffalo Wings, Beer Battered Flake, Pulled Pork Burger

We didn't stay at the hotel however just wanted to recommend the amazing food and acknowledge the wonderful staff on Saturday 22nd June. The lady in the restaurant found us alternative seating as the restaurant was fully booked. We sat in a private bistro area and we all decided it was our favourite meal.in Tassie. My husband had the Salmon, my daughter had lamb and I had the fish. All meals were superb and again the staff were fantastic. Definitely recommend.

Pillows were hard and bed was small
Very noisy thru the night with 2 trains sounding like they were going to come right thru the room and a random child screaming and running amok from about 5.30 am......
Not much sleep

Rooms and bathroom were very clean. I had a single room which was an odd design and the bed didn't fit against a wall. Shared kitchen means other customers can be a bit rowdy late at night and the train is very close and very loud.

Had dinner downstairs and I had salmon and seasoned vegetables
Salmon ok, seasoned vegetables were a tomato, red capsicum, onion and a couple of slices of zucchini. Did see vegetables go to other tables earlier but they must have run out. Should have informed me of situation not given me fruit

We stayed 2 nights at the Deloraine Hotel in Feb 2024 and was so happy we did. All the staff were amazing, the rooms were clean and the food was amazing. l would go so far as to say the garlic prawns are the best l've ever tasted. The only suggestion l would have is it would be great if the rooms were air conditioned, but that doesn't detract from what a great pub this is to stay at. This is the second time we've stayed here, and l'm confident it won't be the last!

Unbelievable meal. Fresh. And amazing service. Room is great. Very clean. Spotless. Great value for money. Highly highly recommend. Definitely will be back. Can't fault.

The rooms were great, it came with good service. The bathrooms were awesome too. A little loud, but i mean what do you expect its right above a pub. It would be nice if it had a table.

Dropp in for lunch with my boss, we both ordered the chicken Parm with chips and salad.
The guy taking the order was friendly and let us know we can sit anywhere and let us know if we need to drinks to go next door to the pub and buy them over the bar which seems a bit silly for a restaurant but that's really not a problem?
The wait for the food was not that long and I was excited when the food came out as I saw they had made hand cut potato chips!! But the first bite was the end of our excitement!! Chips where stone cold in the middle and a waste of everybody's time! Then I cut into the chicken Parm.... Well I should have brought a small chainsaw because kitchen staff had burned the living hell out of it!! Not just on 1 side but both, I thought it was just my meal but the boss soon flipped his over and it was the same! Burned and dry chicken!!
At this point we decided to walk the food back to the counter or which point the guy was not there but the chef sitting in the dining room reading the paper.. I very politely asked if he had just made these to which he said "yes... Is everything ok?"
We where not rude about it at all, I very simply said that it was burned and the chips where stone cold, I then showed him both sides of the chicken.
He apologized and that was pretty much it.. not offer to re cook anything or a refund of any sort.. w drove to Westbury and got some burgers from the take away store!!
Never ever again will I bother to come here again..

Child burger 10 bucks. Adult burger is exactly the size of the child burger but with added lettuce and tomato. 22 bucks.

Most expensive lettuce and tomato I've ever bought. Won't be back when Deloraine has a number of places that offer so much more.

Called in quite late the other night and they kept the kitchen open for us even though they were closing. Super friendly and attentive, authentic classic hotel vibe and really nice foor.

Came back from Launceston last night and called in for tea.We had three meals between us, two garlic prawns and chips and fish of the day with chips and salad, really nice to eat. $98 for meals two whiskies and dry plus a beer.will go back again very soon.

Room very basic but Neat and clean. Bed comfy . Window had screen torn away and being 3 stories up with bed under the window was a worry along with the back stairs exit the porch is rotten which was dangerous. I'd hate to have a number of people need to get out in a hurry.

After reviewing menus online for what to eat for dinner, we decided the Deloraine hotel had something for all of us in the family. We booked a table and headed down. Greeted by a gentleman, he shows us to our table and gives us the menus. Was so lovely to us and came back when the rest of our guests arrived. They even added a table to our seating to cater for the pram we brought. Was hard to choose what to have because everything coming to other tables looked so good. We would all come back for the chips and the coffee. Absolutely killer Parma, chicken was so juicy and chunky, I had to eat it all. Best customer service.

You can see into the kitchen from parts of the restaurant, so watching the chef use his bare hand to grab cooked pasta to prepare was gross, especially after seeing him use said hand on his drink bottle which just came back from the main bar and sat on his prep area. Pretty grotty.

just picked up a pizza ordered for 6:30pm as was told there was a wait so ordered ahead for a time. stone f'in cold and i took a bite within 2 minutes of grabbing it. very poor! will ask for it to be hot next time and check if i ever return.

Reasonable sized room for the standard of stars. Friendly staff around. Guest laundry payable by coins which bar staff can exchange for you.
Bed comfortable and the room is warm.
Shared lounge facilities.
Shower was spacious but the door wouldn't shut. Good rain maker shower head dispursing a good pressure of water.

No chair, no wardrobe making it more ideal for overnight accommodation.
Good walking distance to other areas of town.
Parking at the rear.

My husband and I had a lovely experience. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The communal space was a surprising delight. Would recommend for a short or long stay.

Meals are a little small, but quality is fantastic. Staff are friendly, good place to enjoy a beer by the river!

Excellent food and service. Awesome buffalo wings and chicken schnitzel. Good portions. Nice atmosphere, view outside of the main street.

Cheap, clean, convenient location. Friendly staff (except for the tall guy, Gray?, in the restaurant - he was a rude smart arse). The restaurant food was fairly ordinary for the price we paid. The salad was a tiny blob of coleslaw, and combined with the arrogant service by Gray (if that was his name) it left a bitter taste in my mouth. There are plenty of other GOOD places to eat in Deloraine but the accomodation was good value for money.
Their website doesn't list in the facilities that there is a kitchen/ dining room for guest use. It has microwave, fridge, dishwasher as well as basic tea and coffee. There's a TV and lounge area and everything is nice and clean. There is also a coin op laundry, lounge area and outside is a balcony overlooking the river where smokers can retreat to.
I was very excited to see a platypus in the river one morning when I was walking over the bridge!

We stopped for dinner and were thrilled with the meal , it was pricey but absolutely worth it every penny.

Overnight review only: staff were very friendly, the room is clean, however: Compressor outside window on and off every five minutes. Creaking floor boards. Trains whistles and go past over the night. Persistent hissing from toilet. No way to get sleep.

This lovely Hotel has wonderful old world charm. It is extremely affordable and the staff are warm,friendly and welcoming.

A bistro in the very old Deloraine Pub near the bridge. Lots of choice on the menu but the Pork Belly I chose was not to my liking, too fatty.
My friend did enjoy her fish .

Staff were great. Let us place eat-in lunch order by phone since we were 15 minutes drive away and would miss last orders. Food was nice.

Food was good. Lovely decor. Waitress ruined the experience. She was openly hostile towards us. Exasperated at every question. Big sigh when I asked her what the soup of the day was (they had forgotten to write it on the blackboard). Told us to go and sit down and she would find out. Came to take our order and another big sigh when I asked about the soup. She practically threw our plates on the table when she brought our orders. I didn't see her behaving that way and even smiling at other people. Possible it was because we are a gay couple (on our honeymoon).

Atmosphere was amazing, very family friendly, greeted and catered too very quickly. Food and staff was phenomenal, highly recommend. This is an absolute must to visit. Will be coming back in the future for sure, keep up the great work!

A really pleasant stay in a well appointed room (share bathroom). Looks recently renovated and was very comfortable. Great having the restaurant downstairs, and the food was delicious. Would recommend if you are having an overnight stop in Deloraine.

We very recently stayed 3 nights in a group. Rates were very good and the communal bathrooms were simply excellent. It is simply not 5 Star but I would happily stay again. Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival - 7 of us arrived at same time. They were not doing meals on the Monday or Tuesday nights and gave good advice. We dined there on the Wednesday night and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It is right on the roundabout and you will hear trains. Easy walk to local cafes for breakfast. Great base for exploring most of northern Tasmania
