The Sheffield RSL & Citizens Club is a club located in Sheffield, Tasmania. They have a great dine-in restaurant.
A lovely local RSL with delicious food and quick friendly service. We stayed in Sheffield and dinner options were very limited but we were fortunate that this local gem was open. We ate here 2 nights in a row as we were impressed with the tasty food. Over these nights, we ordered the crumbed scallops, grilled chicken + garlic prawns, schnitzel and salmon + garlic prawns - dishes were about $30-35 each which is relatively pricy but not complaining when there are no other options. Decent portions and the meal felt nourishing - I really appreciate the side of fresh vegetables (the roasted pumpkin with cheese was out of this world and it is my goal to emulate this at home). People were friendly too! Thank you for feeding us well.

Meals are amazing. We had the Meat Lovers Schnitzel and the Macadamia Chicken Tenders with garlic sauce. Both were delicious. Great service from the RSL team.

A cosy RSL filled with locals. Friendly people. The food was amazing, we had the salmon, chicken schnitzel, steaks and butter chicken and all came out quickly and cooked perfectly. Would recommend stopping here if you are hungry and heading to Cradle Mountain! 10/10

Great to see some vegan options on the menu. Tried the vegan rissotto. I found it good but would have like abit more flavour. The staff were really helpful. And atmosphere was good too.

Lovely staff, walking in without a booking. Staff was quick to clean a table for us to use. Very busy. Food arrived quickly. We were made feel welcome, only visiting the area.

I absolutely love this place, we come up for rowing competitions and we eat here every time, in all the years of rowing we have never once had a bad meal. It's good old fashioned service and food with a price to match and I mean that it a positive way. Superb hearty meals at a decent price.
The service is second to none, the couple who run the RSL are top class people who deliver exceptional customer service, friendly and inviting. Don't go to Sheffield and miss this off your list of places to stop, you won't be disappointed.

Always good when you walk in after a long day of driving with a toddler and the locals just stare at you like you're a leper.
Didn't stay for the food, can't comment on the food or staff.
The hotel down the street was much nicer, the locals there were a lot nicer.

We are from Melbourne here for weekend exploring. Both hubby and I are foodies and have eaten at all different places .
This little town has served a scotch fillet that is up there with the best places in any state. We have eaten $150 steaks and this $40 scotch fillet was better in yaste and was cooked perfectly with so much flavour. Also the veggies were baked not just bland steamed. Both very impressed and will be telling all our friends if in this part of the world to go in and have an awesome steak. Thank you so much we will return

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. A very relaxed atmosphere for a large family group for Mother's Day lunch. Good choice of Tassie wines. Many varied choices on the menu and 'Special of The Day' board, including vegan, and children's. The food was delicious, generous serves, and enjoyed by everyone! Thank you.

OMG! We couldn't decide between the salmon and prawns with cream sauce or the best pork belly that we'd heard about. So we ordrered both and both were amazing.
Seriously, the best pork belly I've eaten and wonderful staff to look after you. Thank you Chef and restaurant staff

Ton8ght we had our first meal at the rsl. It was absolutely fantastic. We all had different meals. The pork belly fell apart. It was so delicious. The lamb shanks were so tender. And the chicken Kiev cooked to perfection. All the meals were very generously sized. Great value. Will definitely be going back there.. so happy to find a great place to eat . We live in Sheffield so this is great. The staff are so friendly. Thanks.

MG Car Club chose Sheffield RSL Club venue for Annual State Dinner, Nov 2022. Chef Deon and staff provided a 3 course meal equal to a high rating restaurant tog with excellent service. 63 MG members could not fault meal & service provided. Congratulations Sheffield RSL. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Sheffield RSL on Saturday night.
The food was presented very well, food tasted great & value for money.

This place is going off! The town of Sheffield has an awesome vibe, and the RSL is in full swing here. Excellent, fast and friendly service, a good solid menu of tasty food, and plenty of comfortable seating makes this a good place to eat and drink. My chicken parmigiano tasted great and was big enough to satisfy a hearty appetite. Very enjoyable, although there was no hot mustard which disappointed my partner :)
