Great little pub which caters for the young and the young at heart, hidden away in the back streets of Newtown. Good selection of craft beers and wine which aren't over priced and a bistro serving decent food at fair prices, apart from the Angus rump which was more like the 'Angus gristle with a taste of rump'!
Massive shoutout to Stacey and the team who helped organise a function for me. I celebrated my birthday here last week with 80 people. Stacey was lovely and so helpful. The venue and food was fantastic! Everyone had a fantastic time. Also thanks to Chelsea and the other staff who helped out on the night!
Nice spot for catching up with friends. The ample space means you don't feel rushed to leave with a crowd.
Good pub options for food. I'm not vegetarian but I ordered the tofu chips as something different and really enjoyed them!

We stayed here for a night away and not only was the accommodation clean and inviting but the service from Calvin and the team was above and beyond. The friendly vibes and his attention to detail is something rare that you don't see much. Would recommend this place if it was for a night away, a meal or a drink! Cheers guys 🍻
Just got myself a cheeseburger with added bacon, and have to say that was the best burger I've had in ages!
Fresh ingredients, delicious patty. The whole thing, as well as the fries and side of mayo I got, were a great size. Staff were friendly and wait wasn't long either.
Honestly have nothing to criticise, super happy with everything and will definitely be back!

I grabbed a tasting paddle as it was only $12 and I could not decide what to have. The sample volume was quite generous in my view and good value especially if you want to try the barley wines.
Anyway I recommend this place and I will definitely be back.
The Newtown Hotel located in the heart of King Street Newtown offers your usual favourite pub food with great value happy hour drinks and pizzas 🍕 from 5 to 7pm. They hold live stand up comedy events Wednesdays to Saturday. Come and play some pool in this chilled out hotel. Just love our beautiful heritage local Aussie pubs 🍻🥂
The food was good. Service was exceptional. There was a young sweetheart named Lane - she was delightful and my wife and I had a long chat to her. We appreciated this as I was down for treatment, and the city can seem unfriendly but this made the trip pleasant. We would come back based on our experience with this lovely young lady.
I went for a Christmas gathering last week and was impressed by this place. The upstairs seats and lounge spaces are comfortable and cosy. The highlight though was the food, it was delicious and caters for all tastes including some vegan dishes. The staff are friendly and the happy hour is a great plus.
Honestly my go-to place in Newtown when I need a beer and feel like dancing a bit. It doesn't get overcrowded, staff are very nice.
It's one of those places where you and your friends keep coming back to. Nice chill vibe, music you can relate to. Inexpensive drinks.
