The Sir Charles Darling is a great place for excellent food, which is inclusive of everybody's budget. It's family friendly and the staff are very experienced with service, being prompt, very efficient and great at looking after the children at the table. I recommend you go visit this hotel you will be surprised.
Fantastic experience! Celebrated a bday at Little Creatures and the experience was great. Our host went above and beyond to accommodate our guests, always with a smile in her face. All staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious!!!! everyone loved the pizza (vegan, non-vegan) and the ribs. Great place to gather friends.
Food was delicious, especially the seafood linguine and the steak pot pie. Chicken parma (not parmi) was also good - just the right size. Sticky date pudding was amazing. Not a great range of local wines but good none the less. Lots of photos on display, some more risque than others. Service was fantastic.
We had a great time catching up with friends on a table in the rooftop bar. Fantastic views of the city and bay. Had the salt and pepper calamari which I enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed the meals and the staff were great. The music section down stairs looked like everyone was enjoying it. I will be back on my next visit to town.

A great live music venue and probably one of my favourites in the country. Small and intimate this venue provides a great stage for emerging bands. Venues like this are hard to find with most opting for DJ's these days, so I highly recommend getting behind these local pubs and supporting them to keep the live music industry alive. Thanks for a great night out!
Booked a table late, prior to a show at Costa Hall. The place was packed. Food still came out in less than ten minutes. Unfortunately didn't get photos, but chicken schnitty with mushroom sauce was amazing. Friend had nachos which she loved and had sufficient toppings, which is rare.
Service was great. Very friendly and efficient staff. Prices also very reasonable. Couldn't fault it.
Great food and well set up. One small issue with the service after I saw a chip in my glass and very nearly swallowed a bit of glass. Mentioned it to the waiter who said he would get me another drink. It never appeared. My fault for not mentioning it further, but ... apart from that this place was really good.
We came to this pub and thought it was interesting that there was no Parma on the menu.
We ordered the schnitzel and can confirm they do not need a parma. The schnitzel is just wow!!
It was PERFECT.
To be able to sling out a meal that good when you're that busy on a Saturday night is so impressive.
10/10 for the food, service and the vibes!!

Great food & lovely atmosphere. I was impressed with the service and quality of food. Our group of 16 were all served hot & well presented meals. The battered fish was a favourite and the chicken parmigiana certainly challenge all the men to clear their plates.

26 March 2024 update - excellent service, it's always good here but the woman who took care of us today in the bar area for lunch was really very personable. The steaks today were amazing, the chef cooked them perfectly which is a rarity with medium rare eye fillet. Thanks for the great experience 😁
